Sculpture

Sculpture is the art of artistic creation - expression, which is performed through the creation of three-dimensional forms in any medium. The materials used are various: hard, such as stone, marble, metals or wood, or softer, such as clay or various plastics (in modern sculpture). It is even possible to combine different materials. The first stage is finding the objects to be presented by the sculptors. The selected materials are then processed using various techniques, subtractive such as carving, or additive such as welding.

Visual arts are the art forms such as sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography and many others. Many artistic fields include aspects of the visual arts as well as other arts. Visual arts also include applied arts such as interior design and the design of decorative objects.

Current usage of the term "visual arts" includes fine arts as well as applied, decorative arts and crafts. Before the turn of the 20th century, the term "artist" was often limited to a person engaged in the fine arts (such as painting, sculpture, or engraving) rather than crafts, crafts, or applied arts.
